誰しも一度は心の中でやったことのある、好きなアーティストのアルバム好きなのランキングを、Ultimate Classic Rockがヴァン・ヘイレンでやってくれていました。

こういうランキングは結局のところ、ランキング作った人の好みを開陳してる以上の意味はなく、真剣に討論し出すと技術論から始まって、当時のバンドメンバーの心境とか体調とか時代背景なんかまで出てきたりして必ず紛糾し、最後には罵倒合戦になって、「結局は個人の好みだよね」で決着するものですよね。

執筆者の方もその辺先回りして「最低といっても悪いということではないし、このランキングも明日には変わってるかもしれないし」と、閲覧者に気を遣っています。

But that said, the next time we schedule some time to sit and listen to the complete Van Halen discography back-to-back, we feel like this is a pretty great running order.
